Shirdi Sai Baba Temple was created with the aim of serving as a place of worship that promotes the teachings of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba. The temple is a divine blessing for the people in and around twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack. Keeping with the tradition of the Shirdi Samadhi Mandir at Shirdi, the temple performs four Aartis’ daily- Kakad Aarti, Madhyan Aarti, Dhup Aarti and Shej Aarti.

The Temple is located at Rudrapur, (near Naharkanta in Bhubaneswar municipality area). It’s a beautiful 3-storied structure on the banks of Puri main canal (west side) and its first Sai temple to have come up in this area. The ‘Bhoomi Puja’ was performed on 29th November, 2021 on the auspicious of Kartik Purnima day. The construction worked immediately after that time and it took exactly 11 months to finish up the entire 3 storied structure. On 7th November, 2022, Dr. Chandra Bhanu Satpathyji came to inaugurate the temple and performed Pran Pratistha on the auspicious of Kartika Purnima day-7th November, 2022.

Daily Abhisheka

Abhisheka (or holy bathing) amidst chants of sacred vedic hymns is done each morning after morning

ārtī. The service involves bathing Baba with sanctified water from sacred rivers and other items including

but not limited to Milk, Yogurt, fragrant water of flowers like Rose, Jasmine, Lavender,etc. or of essences

made of Sandal, Safron among other items. Sacred hymns and Mantras are invoked from Ganapathi and

Daily Aarti

Four aarti's namely Kakad (morning), Madhyana (noon), Dhoop (evening) and Shej (night) are performed

each day in which light from wicks soaked in ghee(purified butter) and camphor is offered to Baba along

with singing of verses in His glory to the accompaniment of devotional music. The practice of offering

Aarthi to Baba started in 1910 and continues today in temples and homes of Baba devotees across the

The temple performs Hindu style of worship (as followed in Shirdi) and rituals from various Vedic

Scriptures. In addition, daily archana pooja is done multiple times. While visiting or remotely devotees
